Qimen Dunjia attracts search intent around prediction and decision timing — and therefore attracts loud headlines. This piece is structural literacy only: what is being computed, how it layers against BaZi and almanac, and how a transparent product should behave.
Roughly what it does
Traditions center on arranging a board from calendar time (and school-specific procedures). Discussions often include stems/instruments, palaces, gates, stars, and deities — names and layouts vary by school; this article does not teach one full board system.
Split always:
- Board facts (reproducible under a named procedure)
- Judgment language (school method + sources — not free-form model prophecy)
Versus BaZi and almanac
- BaZi: natal four-pillar structure
- Almanac: day notes and date filters
- Qimen: another board language, often for inquiry/timing
They may share calendar time; they do not share the whole symbol stack. Almanac宜忌 is not a Qimen verdict.

Qimen is a placeholder in requirements: explain on the marketing site; ship in-app only when engine and knowledge trails are ready. We will not invent a “Qimen-looking” board with AI for traffic.
Short take
Ask whether the board recomputes and whether sentences cite. Education can rank; fake prophecy cannot be our brand.
